maison

Couture house Tamara Ralph announces the opening of the brand's first Maison – serving as its official showroom – in the heart of Paris, France. Representing a significant milestone for designer Tamara Ralph and her eponymous brand – for which Ralph is the Founder and Creative Director – the Maison is the first permanent client and media-facing location, outside of the brand's London-based atelier. Having debuted her namesake brand just last year, during Autumn-Winter 2023/2024 Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, Ralph aims to fulfil the needs of her client base providing a sanctuary to discover the collection.

Nestled in the iconic 8th arrondissement of Paris, the Maison is located at 1 Rue Francois 1er, and spans just under220 square meters across7 rooms including back of house, complete with sweeping views of the cityincluding the Eifel Tower and a light-filled space situated on the 3rd floor. In keeping with the brand pillars and ethos, the Maison – which has been conceptualised and brought to life all by the designer herself – is modern yet elegant in both architecture as well as design, with an authentic Parisienne air married with the much celebrated Haussmann style that is synonymous with the city of Paris. The space honours its original features, such as ornate crown moulding and an intricate fireplace, which are both complemented and softened with a neutral colour palette that is true to the brand.

“Opening a Maison in Paris as part of my renewed journey with my eponymous brand has long been part of my strategy, and my dream. Not only is Paris a city which I love deeply on both a personal and professional level, but it is also the very heartbeat of couture as a category.  In many ways, Paris is where it all truly began, and I want to give back to this incredible city which has inspired and supported my career for so many years.” – Tamara Ralph

The Maison will operate on an 'appointment only' basis, and is symbolic of the brand's continued evolution as it enters a new chapter. To support both Ralph's plans for growth as well as the opening of the Maison, the designer will look to expand her team in Paris and nurture further presence in the city which is so intrinsic to the brand itself, couture as an industry, and also to Ralph on a personal level.
